With two young kids and a full time job, staying fit and meeting my running goals is not a sprint - it's a marathon.

Hey, wait a sec!
I finally took a moment to plug the numbers into my spreadsheet, and realized that I actually ran at 10:15 pace overall, and was just 11 seconds shy of a PR!!! Damn, I should have kicked harder into the finish. There's always next year!! :)

You need to get yourself a "Mama Marathon" shirt to wear to local races. That way, your readers will know who you are and can cheer accordingly.
I'll say this, though, with that New Year's Day headwind blowing, I don't reckon there were many runners that had a lot of "kick" left at the finish line.

Congratulations on a fine race.
Thanks, Harry!
Maybe I'll write "Mama Marathon" on the back of my brand-new shirt that says "ATHLETE" across the front. :)
